She is survived by three children, Cheryl B. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas where she volunteered as a general assistant, participated in United Methodist Women, and was a Lay Speaker for various small congregations in Baxter and surrounding counties. Jean especially loved to teach English as a second language to students. She was a teacher in various locations and grade levels, from 4th to 8th grade, as she moved around with military assignments. She then received a Masters in Education from the University of South Alabama in 1977. Jean graduated from Southern Choctaw High School in Silas, Alabama in 1948, and continued her education to receive a Bachelor's degree at the University of Montevallo in 1954. Jean Jarvis married Jake Jarvis on Decemand was a loving Air Force wife for 21 years. She was born Decemin Gilbertown, Alabama to T.J. Sarah Jean Sullivan Jarvis, age 90 of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away in her home Friday, October 15, 2021.
